We first became aware of Blue Moon when we were searching for a Canadian wholesaler that purchases their products with 'Fair Trade' principles - allowing crafts people to set the prices for their products at what THEY feel is a fair exchange for their labour. We were fortunate enough to meet them at the CGTA gift show last year and have been enjoying a terrific business relationship ever since. The Barber Gallery is a 15,000 square foot show room containing southwestern Ontario's most prominent collection of original art and artifacts. Housed in an historical designated limestone building, we boast the largest picture framing, home accessories and fine art collection in the area. The hand crafted gifts, home accents and collectibles sought out and purchased through "Blue Moon" is a welcome addition to the gallery resulting in increased sales as well as benefiting the diverse variety of clientele we satisfy. Their level of quality control and customer service is exemplary, accentuating the work of our local Artists and Artisans. As a result of cuts in arts programming in our schools, arts education is an important factor in the programming and coordination of our monthly rotating shows. It is a pleasure to deal with a company, who shows a social consciousness by supporting Artisans in developing countries by their practice of Fair Trade, as we believe this is an important part of an arts education.
